A Pictoral Preview

Before I close out the semester of student teaching as it happened to me, I'm going to leave you, my readers, with pictures of my classroom. You can get a feel for the space where I spent over 500 hours this semester.

This is my classroom. It has windows on two walls.

It has 33 students desks and 2 teacher desks.

This is my science section where we predicted some questions that we later answered through the scientific method.

We built model go carts and then made them self-propelled, able to go at least 2 meters. It was awesome!

Front of the room

My mixed media board for the Mexican Revolution and the Great Depression

< Those are library books I checked out and students could sign a name on the board and borrow the book. They LOVED them, especially the ones about Pancho Villa and Emiliano Zapata.

A close up, particularly for the Vances because I used their favorite phrase "hard times"

The bulletin board where students each have a space to pin the piece of work they are proudest of.

This allows them to all show off SOMETHING, even if it's not an A+ or super amazing, just an assignment they worked hard on.

Coming soon: surprise parties and goodbyes and and sweet rhymes and THE END!

  1. Love the creativity. Even though I have been watching it for a long time, it still makes me proud and always impresses me.

  2. I like the "Our Best Effort" wall. That has to make the kids feel good/try harder.

  3. I hope you will continue this next year.
